As of 01-01-2025, the UMCG has transitioned to recording medical procedures using VT terms; from this date onward, Health Care will no longer be documented using CBV codes.
The “verrichtingenthesaurus” (VT) is the national standard for recording medical procedures. It is a list of clinically relevant procedure terms linked to the international medical terminology standard SNOMED CT. The VT enables standardized documentation of procedures. The recorded data can be reused multiple times without additional administrative burden. In short, the VT facilitates consistent documentation, storage, and exchange of health data. Starting 01-01-2025, at 7:00 AM, the UMCG will therefore use VT codes for recording care.
